Did you know that there are 2.4 billion people in the world without toilets, 1/3 of the population, in fact there are more mobile phones owned by people than there are toilets. As part of our activities we want to raise awareness of the issues of not having a toilet or access to clean sanitation.

To get us started here is the history of toilets in a short video

Through Rotary Social Innovation we can do two things a) raise awareness and b) encourage people to twin their toilet so they practically help to make a difference.

So to start with please can you help by telling people how we can do much more about poverty, diseases, deaths, attacks, if we could just get toilets to be as fashionable as mobile phones and supplied to people in the world who haven’t got one. All we ask you to do is help us on Social Media e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and any other SM you use.

In helping to get more people buying from Social Enterprises, you may consider purchasing your toilet paper from one that helps to put 50% of their profit into building toilets in the world. Take a look at Who Gives a Crap and try out a box and encourage your friends to do likewise.
